THE Daily Telegraph went behind the scenes for the Rugby League Cheerleader of the Year lingerie calendar photoshoot.

The calendar is set to be launched at a black tie event in Sydney on September 9, with all proceeds going to charity.

On the same night, the Cheerleader of the Year will also be announced.

Organisers said the shoot, which was held in conjunction with Mary Holland Lingerie and Swimwear, aims to portray the girls as "beautiful and sophisticated".
